The ASUS Nexus Google Player uses the x86 version of the KODI media center unlike most other boxes out there which use the mobile ARM version. This enables the KODI media center to fully utilize the x86 1.8GHz Quad Core, Intel Atom processor and bring you a smooth movie streaming experience. What is different about this box from the rest available, is that it is the first of its kind, to use the Android TV platform by Google, especially designed for movie streaming. It is based on the latest Android 5 and rebuild from ground up. The rest of the android boxes use the generic Android 4 platform which is found in cell phones. Next thing we wanted to mention is that with this box you get the whole google experience. Nexus Player comes with a voice-activated remote, perfect for playing casual games and finding your favorite shows. For example just press the mic button and say "Gravity" to find it without having to dig through your media library. We are going to include a video clip on the side so you can see the voice activated remote in action. The Nexus Player console is made by ASUS and designed to fit beautifully alongside your current home entertainment setup, lets you pick from personalized recommendations that appear automatically on your home screen. Another neat feature that it has is it is Google Cast Ready. What it means is you can Cast your favorite entertainment apps from your Android or iOS device, Mac or Windows laptop, or Chromebook to the TV. Content syncs across Android devices so you can start a movie on your TV and finish it on your tablet in bed. We have set up a custom skin for KODI (as shown in the photos) to compliment the Android TV color palette and style. It comes loaded with the most popular add-ons for KODI as well as a working Mash Up v1.4.3 add-on. Some of the other add-ons are: Icefilms, Genesis, Navi-X, Kid's Cartoons channels, Live TV, Sports, Phoenix, 1Channel, Adult and a lot more.

XBMC is an open-source media center that is installed on the Android TV Box. This open-source media center has 1000′s of repositories and sources for the end user (you) to find exactly what you are looking for with the quality that you demand. Some boxes may be pre-programmed with add-ons but you can add as many as you want. We do not guarantee any of add-ons installed on the XBMC will play every time in HD quality nor do we guarantee these add-ons will not buffer or go down from time to time. Remember, these add-ons are managed and run by a third-party and should not be a direct reflection of how the box runs or operates as these add-ons sometimes have issues with connectivity, speed, buffering and quality. One should do research on XBMC before purchasing and understand that not every add-on will work perfectly every time.
